My Story

The end of university marks a time of change.

Over the last five years my long hair has been one of the strongest parts of my identity, to mark this life transition I'm going to be shaving it all off to raise money for the International Tree Foundation, a reforesting charity, and donating my hair to the Little Princess Trust, which makes wigs for young people suffering with hair loss.

Reforestation and the preservation of biodiversity are things close to my heart and are, in the current climate (no pun intended), becoming evermore crucially necessary for the saviour of our and all other species. It additionally fits the theme of the positive growth that can proceed out of the ending of our current situation.

This is going to be a music / poetry / performance / art night around the theme of change, new growth, rebirth, regeneration etc. I'll be giving out seed bombs for people to take home and plant, or throw wherevers, with flowers and plants crucial for bees, butterflies and other pollinators.

My aim is to raise at least £300 for the International Tree Foundation in order to help with their programme of reforestation across the globe, especially due to their dedication to the preservation and self empowerment of indiginous communites through aiding the use of their own knowledge and needs rather than imperialist imposition of ideas. Thank you all for your contributions!
